A violinist and graduate of the Kennesaw State University School of Music, playing music has been a large part of Melody’s life and education.
During middle and high school, she qualified for the GMEA All-State Orchestra for five years. In high school she played for the Georgia Youth Symphony Orchestra and Atlanta Symphony Youth Orchestra. Through participation in the ASYO and the Franklin Pond Chamber Music Program, she studied under members of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, one of the top professional orchestras in the region. During her music studies at Kennesaw State, she regularly performed in the KSU Symphony Orchestra and the Cooke Scholarship String Quartet. She also studied piano pedagogy, developing a well-rounded knowledge base upon which to structure piano lessons.
Melody finished her degree in violin performance at KSU in 2022 and is now in her eighth year of teaching private music lessons. She enjoys arranging music for her students, encouraging them to participate in student performances.
